On topic: you've met her once so far right? I'd say at this stage there can hardly be a difference between her just being friendly or actually liking you. She herself probably hasn't made that decision yet so it will be impossible for you to tell. In any case imo it is a favourable position to start out from.

I was just suspicious because I've met hundreds of girls but none were like that.

Right so, according to a good friend of her's, who's also a good friend a mine, she's just a nice girl.

Meanwhile, she's still amazing so I need protips on possible dates and stuff, I just donno if I should be straightforward or eventually slip in after a few fun "Dates" a "So would you like to go out with me?" <- as in GF

There is no time line, there is no book.  You will go from friend to boyfriend in a natural process.  If you do the same with her friend to girlfriend then bingo, we have a winner.

You will feel it when this happens, you wont have to announce it.  However, facebook of all things may help you, ask her if its ok if I put 'in a relationship' on it, do it in a jokey way to test the water if you like.

This, "official BF - GF" is for elementary school playground buddies only. The closest you can get to anything official at your age is marriage and that is probably a step too far for now. Any adult who does adhere to other formal denomination loves possesively and thus should be avoided.

Note on the "Facebook" though: it is only a last resort. Physical presence >>> vocal presence >>> letters & emails >>> text messages >>> Facebook or other virtual community sites. This is no conservatism, but rather you lose in means of communication with each next best option. No physical presence means no body language, no vocal presence means no intonation either, etc.
