I was TRYING to play BF2 but the dvd keeps ejecting when i put it in.


no scratches NEW
dvd rom reads other disks fine
restarted computer and it still does it

Has anyone else come across this, before I call EA and complain at them

Can the disk be read in another computer? Are you sure you're putting it in completely flat?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

It's a sign...

No seriousley, thats quite wierd, i know some drives won't play some discs and maybe this is a similar situation but your drive just ejects discs it can't play? What model and how old is it?

It's suddenly working. ran a couple dvds through it and now it's fine.

starting to get finicky. i'll bet i need a new one soon
