Dear bf2s,

Since some time our clanwebsite is has started to act up weird. We have a seperate part on the website that should display all the latest topic, instead of showing the name though it is showing ''...''. Have a look if you are not sure what I mean:www.nbnbattlefield.com
Anyways, our clanfounder has no clue to fix it and neither have I, now I've been able to look into the page source with firefox and I think that problem is that somewhere in the lines it says: Style=''overflow:hidden; (For all firefox users, right click on the website and click on ''page source'' or something like that and have a look yourself.

Anyway do any of you guys know how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance,

RDMC

Might need to view the php code for it... It could be concatenating it incorrectly?

whats the site running on? php-nuke?  the admin should be able to log in and remove that plugin, then re-install it.  sounds like the plugin is broke.  I doubt its a stylesheet problem.

Looks like Webspell to me.

Website code doesn't randomly change to not work, so you must have done something that caused it. Changed anything recently?

Sorry for the late response, anyhow. About a week ago the admin put on a back-up from 8 months ago because the site was all fucked up when not logged in, after he put the back-up on that problem was solved and the one I described in the OP occured.

What exactly did he restore? The database? Files? Both?

I honestly do not know, he told me he was going to put up a back-up of the old site, which basically threw the entire site back in time for 8 months. All registered users between now and 8 months ago were deleted, topics and posts aren't there anymore. So I guess he just rolled back everything.

Sounds like the database then, which was my first inclination.

I'm just taking a shot in the dark when I say that perhaps it cannot read the data from the database and instead puts ... there. I dunno why that would happen, perhaps some update that isn't compatible with rolling back or something.

IMO, save the database, entirely delete the site off the FTP and then put it back, and put the database back and try that.
