Hey so before wmm sucks, I know that already...
Is there anyway to force wmm to publish at over 30 fps? I don't have vegas or anything and I don't plan on getting it...
But it seems that I'm stuck with 30 fps max. Anyway to get around this?

I think it goes from the source FPS, at least if you choose one of those options for saving that are dynamic.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I recorded at 100 fps with xfire. And when I go to publish I select best playback on my computer which says 30 fps because that is the best option there.

Why do you want more than 30fps in a movie? There are only downsides: more capacity, longer time to render, no difference to 30fps

more than 25fps aren't worth the gb of data. recording at 25fps ingame looks kinda annoying because you always play at 100fps, but watching a video at 25 and 100fps makes no difference, only at storage.

Given that the movies you watch are at 24fps, I think you can live with 30.

movies in 50 or 60 fps look very smooth, I notice the difference.

The human eye can only see at 30 fps. That is why all tv shows, movies, and anything else video related are 30 fps. There is no need to have more frames, because you will not see them. People who claim it looks better are merely experiencing a placebo effect. That is, they think 100 fps is better than 30 fps, so in their mind, when they see 100 fps, they think it looks better even though their eyes cannot physically tell the difference. Anyone who says otherwise is either a super-human, a robot, or full of bullshit.

The human eye does not see in FPS. In general, we can pick up about 30-45FPS.

For instance, try gaming at 30FPS. Then try 45. You will notice a difference.

The reason we don't notice the choppiness in movies and TV is because they use plenty of motion blur.

particularly in dark movie theaters

The fact is your eyes are analog and really can't be compared to frames per second, it's just apples and oranges. Still, as long as you have a solid 30 fps or whatever in your movie, it will look just fine.
