Do you agree with the sentencing? On one hand, I think that he is a complete piece of shit and should be put to death, but on the other hand, I don't think he deserves to die; death is the easy way out. He will end up being put in a padded room for the rest of his life which is bullshit in my opinion. At least make the guy live in population and get what he deserves.

This is the exact reason why I'm for the death penalty. I don't even really give a fuck about whether it prevents crime or not. The fact that there's always the potential for pieces of shit like this to get let out early from their sentence makes me uneasy to say the least.

They appeal and appeal and appeal to the court to get poor Mr. Rapist's sentence shortened or commuted. Which costs taxpayer dollars to pay for the judges, proceedings, often a defense lawyer as well.

I'd rather have my tax dollars go to fixing poverty in my city, not attempting to protect a worthless collection of cells referred to as a "human" by people who think that a human is capable of doing this shit.

I actually like the appeals process for capital punishment. There may be too many of them now, but they need at least one or two. Yes, it costs the taxpayers money, but there's no such thing as commuting someone's sentence when it's the death penalty. Not that I'm against the death penalty (I'd like to see child molesters get it too), but we need a process in place to be sure all the evidence lines up.
