She says as long as you learn to drink in moderation and its nothing special, then when you hit 18 you don't go over the top with excitement.

Same can be said about guns, so long as you learn about safety and everything while you are still young, it sticks with you.

Why would I want to know how to use a gun properly, I'll never use one. If someone comes into my house and steals all my shit, well hell, I won't shoot them.
I'm only 20 and I've never used a gun, I don't see how this affected me. Imo you're all a bunch of rednechs together, no offense, but why would I ever want to use a gun?

why would you ever want to play a video game? i mean... they don't actualy accomplish anything. why would you ever want a car that can go faster then the speed limit? you can never use it

because you enjoy it, and it's fun. why is it so hard for people to understand not everyone has the same interests?

Well seems like USA is a trigger happy country and having a gun would make you more secure. While in sweden its not needed, But hey we still know guns are BAD. Its not that hard to figure out, any 9 year old have gotten their hands on a fps game or seen action move at least once in these years. If they havn't seen one even when they are  15 years old they really live under a rock.

What is it to learn about guns? If you point it at someone and pull the chance is he is not gonna get up. Its a tool made for killing nothing else.

Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

I hope I never am in a situation where i have to shoot someone, but if the need arises, it's good to know how to do it properly.

I guess the US is pretty "trigger happy" compared to some places.  We have several million residents who regularly shoot...pieces of paper, steel plates, plastic bottles, bowling pins, ducks, deer, elk, moose, quail...

(Assuming you were not being sarcastic) How are guns bad?  They are machines.  They have no soul, no consciousness, no ability to act.  Your statement is as assinine as claiming hammers are evil.  Evil or good is determined solely by the actions of the user.

Someone hands you a Springfield xD and says "Please put this back in its case."  Do you know enough not to accidentally shoot someone?  If the answer is no, please go learn the 4 rules of gun safety.  Since you do not plan on using one, those 4 rules will be enough for you.

Did almost all the shooting I've done in my my life between the ages of six to twelve. They were tools on my parents property, that's all. For protection of the house/Dad's racing pidgeons/dogs/ourselves (from snakes and hawks) or for shooting mum's spare plant pots while she was at work (yeah..... well we needed the practice).
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
