How long ago did you place the order?
Your credit card company is going to want the details of the transaction.
They will usually call and/or send the seller a transaction dispute form that they must complete and return.
If they do not reply/complete and return within the allowed time they will debit their account and credit yours.
Many credit card companies will give you an instant credit, but it is dependent on the result of their "investigation".
Make sure you have at least the following information:
- Your credit card account info
- Transaction date
- Transaction amount
- Description of item purchased
- Website address
- How you tried to resolve the dispute yourself (calling, emailing, etc.)
You shouldn't have an issue getting your money back since you used a credit card. Most credit card companies do not charge you a fee either. If they do I recommend you cancel your account with them and find one that doesn't. I have never been charged for a dispute.
