OK. A girl at work told us that there has been an abandoned Porsche on her street for the last 4 months or so. Of course this immedeately got my interest. I asked her to take a photo of it with her camera phone as she didnt know what model it was. I was expecting it to be a crappy 924 or 928, but sure enough it was a 911 targa. This suprised me as that car is actually worth a bit of money.
Our immedate thought was that it was a stolen car that the locals havent bothered to report. But when my work friend rang the cops about it, they said that it hasnt been reported stolen and that the owner lives many suburbs away. And since its parked legally on her street, they had no interest in it. She has said that several people have put notes on it asking if they could buy it, however these tend to decompose over the months it has been sitting there.
This is roughly what it looks like ( minus the whale tail spoiler , plus cooler mags)

I would hate to see it sitting there and slowly rotting for years to come, govt depts will just ignore it and hope it goes away. I am not going to steal it, but I would love to have a hand in either .....
1. getting it back to its rightful owner , or
2. Legally getting it into my garage and looking after it.
Any thoughts?
