Yeah I've seen what passes as cartoons nowadays. They're all angular recycled crap which pretty much lacks anything resembling originality. I remember the good old days of Ren & Stimpy and the Animaniacs, (particularly Pinky and the Brain which still cracks me up. Just Pinky's answers to Brain's "Are you pondering what I'm pondering?" questions beats the crap out of anything nowadays.) If they just played re-runs of that it'd be way better but hey, it's not like I watch the kid's cartoons of today anyway, (okay okay, I loved Invader Zim but that was different and completely twisted.)

Pirates of Dark Water was epicness. Shame, the show was canceled before they could find all the gems. You can watch what episodes that were made on YouTube.

Hannah Barbara had the magic touch when it came to cartoons. Even The Flinstones beat some of the whacked garbage that is children's programming today. Hopefully a new grade of quality in 2D animation will rise before we're all dead.
