Sad to say but yes, government intervention is not the way, people can go to family and friends for help. Maybe if the rich werent already taxed an outragious amount, they would do more things like this:

so what if the fucked up situation was a injury at work and then you couldnt work for 5 years and go no support what so ever your telling me you could live for 5 years with no income?
