My bet is that Mitch just read about the word "Socialism" after seeing the election results on the Wikipedia front page. This thread has gone stupid, like all the conservative vs liberal threads, except with more teen angst.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Listen everybody Obama is stupid he wants to take our money and give it to some drunk fuck who lives on the streets and spend all the change people throw at him on booze and cigarettes when people for once give him some he has screwed his life over and it's his fault he should not get my hard-earned money that my parents inherited from my WW2 grandfather who fought really hard back then unlike that drunk fuck's parents I'm sure they were living on the street too drinking alcohol and smoking whilst my grandparents were fighting in the war and then there are those kids who get all low grades and go fuck all and get a cheap flat and want to leech off of the government because they get paid to just sit on their asses and their DSL and play their wow or shit I don't want that to happen because there are honest people who earn money and raise children and actually do some good for society they should get to keep all of their money and raise even more successful children to keep the trend going if they keep doing that those filthy lazy people who can't earn their own money and want to get money from me to spend on booze and drugs and shit instead of doing any good.

If they don't have to worry about getting good grades so they can get a scholarship to pay for college they aren't going to worry about academics. America's a good country to go to for college.

Over here we have two universities in the state, and if you want to go interstate, there's about 5 credible universities in the whole of Australia. Not to mention, Krudd went and disposed of all full-fee places, in the typical Labour mentality that rich people can't pay their way in.

Unfortunately, the rich are the ones that can afford tutors, good schools, and THE DAMN FUNDING OF THE UNI. Cutting full-fee places means less money per student = less funding = less places overall, so even more poor students miss out.

And then the "thinking how it could be worse in Europe" thats my favourite. You still cant see past the higher tax rate, to the better public health education etc that many European nations have than the US. You should look at Europe and think "wow, I guess higher taxes arent all bad" not "wow they have higher taxes, thats shit. Tax is nothing but more money to be stolen by the government".
