According to anonymous insider tips, Circuit City is closing 155 stores and withdrawing from 12 markets. This will be officially announced tomorrow at 8am, says our source. A scan we received of a letter distributed to CC employees helps corroborate the story. The tipsters say that store employees were told this morning. No information was provided at that time about severance pay. Employees in certain departments, like car installation, and Firedog, will likely be out of a job within 48 hours. Warranties will still be honored. UPDATE 6: Here's the complete official list of closing stores.

You have to set up snares by the employee only doors to get help. I went their with my old boss to get a monitor for the security system and we sat their for like an hour while 2 mangers and 3 employees sat and bullshitted about what they did that weekend. We left and went to Radioshack.

Went with my dad to get my sister a laptop about 2 years ago, waited an hour, and had the same kid who said he'd get us some help walk back and forth about a dozen times. Also left, went to bestbuy.

Bestbuy won because when they came on the scene you could go in and buy something without an army of commissioned trolls on your back. "The City" try to clone BestBuy but failed. Its big news here because Circuit City is based here.

Microcenter is godly in my books. People in the pc department know what their doing and what the parts are, unlike Best buy or or the god awful(thank god their going out of buisness) Circuity city. Heres a fun test, go to your local BB or CC and ask them to recommend a computer part. when they hand you one, ask why they choose it.
