AMD has had tessellation support since HD 2000 series. Nvidia still doesn't support it at all.
Tessellation is part of DX11 standards so AMD has a little edge here.

You can't say AMD is not on the technological lead atm. They foresee this a long time ago when everyone at NVIDIA said tessellation is fail.  Well, they shot themselves on the foot. lol.

it does not have full support for it but it will work just fine with some of the basic features of it like tessellation unlike NVIDIA's current offerings. 

(pretty much the same way NVIDIA does not support fully DX10.1 but it is compatible with most  of its features. )

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. I guess it will be about time to upgrade my current gfx card because it doesn't even suppport shader model 3.0 and the DX11 is SM 5.0
