Right, I'm sick of using this old piece of crap I got with the PC ages ago.

Well... I say it's a piece of crap... But I love it. It's simple, wireless, and has aided me well in kicking ass in my PC gaming lifetime... Either way, I need a new keyboard as my mother needs a new one. So if I get a new one, she can just have my old one...

Now... I've been researching and researching, and I have narrowed it down to a few keyboards which I like the look/sound of.

Logitech Wave

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pimg/KB-134-LG_400.jpg

This keyboard, although not particularly a gaming board, it looks like it's built well and would do the job nicely.

OCZ Alchemy Series Elixir

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pimg/KB-007-OC_400.jpg

This board is cheap, simple, and still pretty good judging from reviews.

Microsoft Reclusa

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pimg/KB-062-MS_400.jpg

I've been looking at this board for a while... Partly made with Razer tech... Looks good, but I've read some bad reviews, mainly about the backlight and shoddily placed macro buttons...

Razer Tarantula

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pimg/KB-022-RA_400.jpg

This board is obviously the best here, but it's fucking pricey... It will also match my DeathAdder...

Razer Lycosa

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pimg/KB-033-RA_400.jpg

Pretty keyboard, again pricey, but a great performer.

One thing I've noticed with all these boards though, is the enter key is small and almost normal sized... I like a big, 2 x 2 sized enter key... Are these pictures American or is that how they are nowadays? Is it easy to get used to?

Predicament!

I like my Saitek Eclipse.

Cheap, nice buttons, backlit, nice palm rest.

The only thing I miss is more multimedia buttons (it only has volume up, down and mute)

I just don't like the look of the thing, really...

But this did look interesting...

Not too sure, though.

...but that Saitek you posted is even uglier

I quite do like razer tarantula, but because I prefer laptop-style-buttons, I'd go Lycosa.

Those razers are pretty expensive though.

That is damn well pretty, but I got put off by the no Macro key buttons...

But it says each key can be re-mapped. Hmm... I'll add this to the list, I think.

Where is the G11? I got one about 1.5 years ago, and it's a solid performer. 18 programmable keys, really awesome for gaming and typing (and that's from someone who's used to low-profile laptop keyboards! And not some cheap ones either...). You can press 6 buttons at the same time, shut off the win key, 3 levels of backlight, etc etc. Cheap too.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I have something inside me that doesn't like the Logitech G keyboards...

I like a Black keyboard, with blue on.

Yes, I care about looks.

I have the Logitech Wave keyboard.  I absolutely love it!  It works great for games and has a media keys to boot.  Setting up the software is easy as well.  You can even point to what programs you want opened instead of the default easily.

If you like the blue lights, take a look at the Eclipse line. There is now an Eclipse 3 --- http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/04/ecli … siasts-dr/

And it's a Saitek product, which means it'll be kickass.

It's really a lot more black than silver. The keys take up 85-90% of what you see. The media buttons on top are also blue, so you'll have plenty of that too.

My brother has an Eclipse II back in the USA and it's a really nice keyboard. Can't imagine the 3 would be bad ...

I like these:

They are fairly cheaper and last. Plus you can change the color of the backlight.

I have the Razer Tarantula and I cant say I'm that amazed by it.  It's a keyboard, theres not a lot of difference between them.  I got it as a gift so I have no idea what it costs...

I have the lycosa and i love it. The lights are awesome, the keys are smooth and it types very easy, as well in the dark. My brother thinks the same about it lol. Another benefit i really like is the disabling of the windows-button: it sucks when you puss it in game while you're in-game.

And if you buy it, don't forget to download the newest drivers from the website. With the 1.0 drivers i couldn't enable my windows-button anymore after i had it disabled. And with your death adder you'll have two razericons on your task bar, which i find annoying (I have the diamonback).

I'm using the Logitech Wave keyboard myself, and so far, so good. I bought the wireless set, and I'm still getting used to the mouse (I.e. slowly hating it less). The kb however, feels better everyday. I used a Logitech standard generic kb before, so the feel of the keays is quite different, as is the "waved" layout. It takes some getting used to, but I'm really starting to like typing with this one. Gaming shouldn't be an issue. The spacebar is ridiculously big though
I need around tree fiddy.

There is also the Wolfking Timberwolf http://www.wolfkingusa.com/index.php?op … ;Itemid=10

Always wanted to try this keyboard out. It's similar to that Merc Stealth.

I have the Wolfking Trooper mouse and it is absolutely awesome. Better DPI settings than the comparable Logitech mice and for half the price. Can't beat it.

They may look pretty good, but the Z-boards are among the worst keyboards I've ever used.

So far I'm leaning towards the Lycosa...

Also, those boards with the extra movement keys on the side... I don't think it'd fit in my keyboard bit
