CAS Hours

I know I'm not the only one in the IB program(me) out here. My action hours are locked up due to extra-cirricular sports, but the Service and creativity aren't as easy.

(For those of you asking WTF is IB, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IB_Diploma_Programme)

I'm knitting for my creative hours. LOLOLURGAY. I'd advise you to do the same, if you're drawing a blank. It's easy to learn, and you can very well do it during class or while watching tv, etc. You can also knit things and call them "potholders" or "scarves" and give them to relatives, which they will think is omgamazing. You just have to be secure in your manhood to do this.

Service hours... I'm not so sure on. I've already done a cancer thing and a down syndrome thing... but I'm still minus 36 hours. TBH was probably going to ask my CAS co-ordinater if I could knit scarves etc and donate them for service hours.

Thoughts, ideas, discussion...

I did knitting, but it was for a charity so it counted for service. Other than that, I can't really remember what I did.

You actually do your hours? For creativity and action, I just got signed what I do anyhow (piano & sailing). For service, my godfather signed the sheet for me.

There are quite a few easy ways around doing community service if you don't have any morals.

I did knitting and sewing at school. We were forced to. At first everyone was like "but it's sissy!", but in the end we were all "it's cool! Cool with a capital K!" (mainly 'cos it's really f'in easy and you get to make utter crap that you can give to distant relatives at xmas and they'll just love it)

Yah. Kind of split on the service hours, wondering if I should just donate all my knitting stuff for service and then pick up the guitar for creativity (which sounds the best, but who's going to sign saying they watched me practice for 50 hrs? zzz), or convince my co-ordinator to let me finish my service hours with knitting and THEN do my creative hours with knitting...

Lovely part is she wants to collect them all early this year. :\

Go do 4 hours of community service, scan the letter to your computer, add a 0 to the 4, profit????

I had to do 50 hours when I was on probation, and I just got my friend's mom to write a letter for me.
