Can you do em? Just tried them out did about 3-4 and just heard my back crack ouch!
More of your body weight on one arm, add that to the fact it improves your core muscles and works your forearms more. Plus it impresses the ladies .
Spoiler (highlight to read):
I can hardly do normal push-ups
I can hardly do normal push-ups
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
I think I was able to do one crappy one once.

Just tried. Answer: No.
Now I hurt. Thanks.

lmao, I started to do normal pushups about two weeks or so ago, I could barely do 10, and couldn't do one starting with my chest flat on the ground.Sir Schmoopy wrote:

Now I can do around 70 without stopping easily, haven't tried one armed ones yet, might give em a go, doing pull-ups on my wardrobe door has helped too, I have to make sure it has a support underneath it though because I snapped the hinges
Chin up/pull up bar + doorframe would be better than a wardrobe door wouldn't it?The Sheriff wrote:

And on topic. I can't do one arm pushups. ~20 regular at a time

It will strengthen one arm, and the other arm wouldn't be getting any benefits unless you did ten on each arm or something.wah1188 wrote:

Why not use two and equal it out?
Course you would swap, your putting more weight on your arm and working different muscles. Think of it as adding 20kg more to your bench press.Ryan wrote:

Uhh... poll?
Nah no need for a poll everyone's a filthy dirty liar on the internet. I want people to actually type something about own personal experiences with one armed push up's I have real interest in how much they can do.Noobpatty wrote:

I don't have money for that kind of stuff, and the uni residence authorities won't allow us to put holes in doorframes for bars or any of that stuff.ebug9 wrote:

The wardrobe door suffices for now.
Not a single one armed one, just tried and I just fell down as soon as I bent my arm...
Can do around 40 normal ones.
107 kg on one arm is no joke

just made my attempt, i did one then collapsed. arm is in pain now. douche
I can do bout 80 normal pushups, but when I try one arm pushups, i just kinda fall to one side...
Split your legs wider than shoulder width, move your hand to the centre twist your torso anti-clockwise if your on your right arm and vice versa. Put your other arm behind your back.
I think I just did a few. My back cracked and I didn't go very far down. They wouldn't have counted as regular push-ups.
I can probably only do 30-40 regular tho.
