Hi Guys,

So i have recently got my self Fallout 3 and X3 Terrian Conflict great! both games run fine and look great however speach is a issue...

Fallout 3 - I can hear people as long as I am not in a convo with them if I am I can only see there lips moving.
X3 - Into to the game works fine music speack all working but as soon as i start a game the music stops cant hear my weapons and cant hear any one talk to m.


I tryed installing the K-lite codecs and swiching to and from to fdshow codec with no success at all.
All my other games run fine with no probs at all.

Vista 64 Ull
Q6600
BFG 8800GTX
2gb OCZ RAM
500 GB HD
creative xtream 2.1
Asus 680i motherboard


Any advise is great thanx!

reinstall sound drivers?  that's a very strange issue you got there.

I "fix" things

Set your audio settings to non 5.1 (if using vista, do that via the windows sound stuff)
It is trying to play voice via middle speaker.

if that's so, wouldn't he notice that all sound in front of him isn't being played either?

I "fix" things

Most times sound in front is played (softly) from other speakers aswell
At least that's what I noticed in RA3

being an RTS game, it may not be noticeable in RA3, but i think it would be blatant in an FPS like Fallout 3.  to me at least...

It was during the movies, but i get your point.
(Also, I once thought a movie didn't work right because I couldn't hear voices, just effects. Same problem)
