So yeah, now that Mirror's Edge is out on the shelves. I think its time for it to have its own thread for everyone one to talk about it.

Ill begin by saying this...too short for the price it cost, went tru it in about 4 hours or so. The story aint bad at all, but far from being the best one out there. The graphic are good looking even tho it dont quite look like in the video we all seen...might be because i play it on a 12-13 years old TV...yup no HD for me for now. Humm, what else i can say to you guys about this game...well yeah...unless you are some kind of rich kid, you might wanna consider renting the game and not buying it...i sorta regret it right now, sure i got the bragging right amongst my friend but well...67$ for the bragging right is not really worth it. So think twice before making a move on it.

TL;DR: DO NOT BUY, RENT THE GAME!

I got an e-mail from GameFly saying they shipped my copy yesterday. Hopefully I can get it tomorrow so I can play it after work. That is ridiculously short if it's only 4 hours though, seems really lame. I'll post again with my thoughts but I figured it'd be like a tweaked version of Assassin's Creed which doesn't have much replay value and you have to push yourself to actually beat it after you get halfway through so that why I didn't buy it.

Depend if you go for the multiplayer...if yes then fo for BF:BC...because mirrors edge have no multiplayer.

Yeah i know, read about it, sorta left me disapointed...when i say 4 it can be 4:30 also, but not really much. Ive always completed most game under the normal time...like Half-life 2 for an example...dont quite know the normal time to complete it but...did it under the "regular" time.

All the quicker for me to borrow it from one of the very few people I know that are even going to play the game at all. Everyone else I know is just going to get CoD5, Gears, or the new WoW expansion.

CoD5 I can see being very reasonable to get(even though I still haven't played 4), Gears has always been a piece of shit in my opinion and the new WoW expansion is just obligatory for any one of the many people at my school with no life that play it.

Most SP games aren't worth buying unless they're incredibly vast and have multiple endings (Fallout 3, FC2, etc) imo.

I unfortunately don't have a choice since I don't have a GameFly or Blockbuster subscription. But the only short SP games I've bought recently were Dead Space and SW: TFU.

Heh, it's time to get Gamefly, it's perfect for these kind of games, especially when you may be busy for a week and won't have time to beat it from a regular rental store.

Yes.

I finally played this last night (ps3). I have to admit I love the mechanics of it. It would be good to see some of these concepts put in fps in general. Doubt I'll get it anytime soon and when I do it will probably be for the PC.

Chances are good that yes it would be on PC. but a shooter mixed with some of the tricks you can pull out in mirrors edge would really be nice tbh. But for some reason i dont see it happening before a little while.
