Just saw it, great film. I think I like Casino Royale more, but still an epic film. What did you guys think? (5 is the best, 1 is the worst)

I'll give it a 3, maybe a 3.5 - Wasn't bad, some good action sequences. It's just that I kept on waiting for the "big thing" you know like how every Bond movie has that final big showdown or something but it never really happened in this film. And then it ended and I was like "oh..."
and also, I understand that this new bond is more angry/dark etc.. but does that mean he has to stop using all those cool gadgets. No it does not. It was a good action film, but not a good Bond film, imo.

Yeah, some of the action was better, but I think it jumped around too much and the story wasn't as good and straight forward as Casino Royale. That being said, new bond girl = awsmly hot.OmniDeath wrote:

I saw it on wednesday, its a really good film, i would give it a 4, it just doesnt have enough gadgets for me. But far better than Casino Royale

One of the crappier "Bond" films if you could call it that. The plot seemed as if it was written by a retard in a padded room, just random killing, no info on the characters, just their name then 2 mins later Bond kills them.
Running time a lil short. Just watched it today. I wonder why is bond acting like hitman now haha.

It was too heavily focused on action and because of that the story lacked any real depth, character building etc. Normally when he comes to fight the 'bad guy' at the end, we hate him so much and really get involved in his impending death. This time I was like ... meh.
It was a bit of a let down in comparison to Casino Royale, which I think is the best Bond ever.

Bond has become more about cinematic effect achievement rather than true Bond storyline. And it's a real shame. Daniel Craig just isn't doing it to me. QOS was a good film in its own right for generic one-time-watch action, but it just wasn't a Bond film for me. Also, not sounding sex-crazed here but all Bond films should have at least one intimate scene. This one didn't.

Bond has become more about cinematic effect achievement rather than true Bond storyline. And it's a real shame. Daniel Craig just isn't doing it to me. QOS was a good film in its own right for generic one-time-watch action, but it just wasn't a Bond film for me. Also, not sounding sex-crazed here but all Bond films should have at least one intimate scene. This one didn't.

Funny that according to a review I read of Casino Royale and a few articles that Daniel Craig's Bond is closer to the one depicted in the books than any of the previous ones.....
I like the new style (haven't seen QoS yet) and from what I've heard of it QoS wasn't meant to be about the bad guys, it's meant to show wtf happens when you fuck up Bond's personal life.
