Well yesterday my mouse strated randomly not responding, I eventually realised the USB drives at the back weren't working. It still works on the front ones.

Now on the sound icon on the taskbar it says No Audio Output Device is installed. I think the two are connected.

My speakers are definetely plugged in, and they work with my ipod. The mouse isn't broken because it works in the other USB ports.

Help?

Reinstall mobo drivers, reset CMOS.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Like when you installed them.

If you don't know how, don't reset the CMOS.

Download drivers from here, install them. If they ask, overwrite everything and/or "repair install".

Damnit, Freezer was faster ...

Your mobo SHOULD have come with a driver install disc, though. I know I had to do that with my board just to get the Ethernet port working on mine on the PC I built back home.

Okay this is very strange. I turned n my computer today and both problems seem to be fixed :S.

I'll update the thread if this changes. Thanks for help I'll do the driver thing if it fails again.

Windows may've auto-installed them for you when you booted up.

Well it seems it was the mouse that was broken. Just happens the two other mice I tested them with didn't work either

I don't know about the audio problem. Hasn't happened since though.
