Anyway, 4GB RAM : £38.
2GB RAM: £23. Worth the extra £15 or should I not bother?

Don't get from OCUK, get from eBuyer. They tend to be cheaper. Their 4670 is £60.Sir Schmoopy wrote:

I've just looked at a page, and its benchmarks showed that the 9800GT smashed the 4670 in CoD4, which is the main game that I'd be playing.
For example:

Don't question the tech junkies.
9800GT £94 inc VAT
Twice as much..?
And you still gotta take the PSU into the count. You'll need a much more powerful PSU for the 9800.
And you're gonna have to reformat when you get a new computer.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Then 2 Gb is enough. 4Gb if you want vista. There's not much point in gettin 4 when XP only recognises 3gb of ram in the actualy slots.Sir Schmoopy wrote:

I'm going to go with the case with the CPU. Has a 450W PSU.Freezer7Pro wrote:

Will buy from eBuyer if that's cheaper, will check a few sites from the components I've chosen.
E5200
4670
4/2GB Corsair DDR2@800Mhz (2 or 4GB?)
Abit IP43 Intel P43 (Socket 775).
This sound okay to everyone?

Also, don't try to give me computer advice. I'm retarded about hardware, but you're retarded compared to me.

You really shouldn't go with a PSU that's delivered with the case. They're very unstable, unreliable, and in many cases hardware killers. At least get a cheap Chieftec 350-400W. And Finny, ANY 32BITOS CAN RECOGNIZE FOUR FUCKING GIGABYTES OF MEMORY IN THE SYSTEM!!! Some is just allocated by say, for example, graphics card RAM. PLUS, there is a thing called XP X64.

Fuck it, I had 1.5GB of 333Mhz DDR so 2GB of DDR2 at 800Mhz will be blistering in comparison.
Won't really need 4GB do I?

I suck at picking parts one by one to help out, here's a whole build . All you need, inside your budget limits.

Remember Me As A Time Of Day
LOL i just built a pc using that case, pretty good quality it seems, it has thumbscrews for the right hand side panel only and it also has a quick release system for all the drive bays. Oh and a random card securing mechanism that requires you to lift up a bar before you can screw in any expansion cards, that i don't really see the point off.rammunition wrote:

Anyway its a decent case to build with and had good build quality, unlike my current case
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/108008 that one but with green led's. I've built two pc's based on those cases (mine and a mates as we were both too cheap to get an epic case) and each time i've come out of it with drips of blood on my jeans from them.
TBH you should save your money, get a higher budget, and buy your PC after Christmas, that's what two of my friends are doing, except their buying pre-builts, because they're noobs. (I said I'd build a system for them, they bitched and said they wanted an HP, so whatever)
Anyways, you could go with the BF2s standard: E8400, P5Q, 2-4GB of RAM, 4850, P182 etc. and not have to do another build so soon to keep up with the games. Plus, I heard the 8400 is one of the most epic processors to overclock...
