i went in literally 3 days after high school graduation. i weighed the same as i did at the end of boot camp. although, even after football practice i went and worked out with the Marines at the recruiting station my whole senior year. so, i was in shape big time.

Good job on his part.

I lost 10 pounds in Navy's boot camp, but that's because the food they served there went right through you after 30 minutes. Therefore, I didn't eat as much.

I have a friend that lost more than a hundred pounds in like 4 months so he could join the army. Was in Iraq during the first year of the war and managed to get himself a shiny bronze star.

That's some motivating stuff right there.

I weighed a buck twenty-seven when I joined the Corps back in '97. They put me on double rations when I went to boot camp. (double of the food). I ended up gaining like 5 pounds because I would eat but immediately sweat it off in the Parris Island heat. Good times.
