Will they let you throw charges in midair? WIll you be abe to detonate in midair? I always like to throw a c4 charge up ontop of a building to clear out claymores and hopefully kill any would-be snipers. I would still like to be able to throw c4 charges in midair, but i dont care if they dont let you detonate in midair because then it will be near impossible to c4 jump. anybody know if theyre changing it? any debate? slander? complaints?
Just throw a grenade on to the roof you mentioned to clear snipers...
And to answer your questions, you can't jump and throw C4 and I don't know if it'll detonate in air, but it'll be hard to find out unless you're dropping them off the TV station roof
Also, I explosives (C4 or grenade) won't clear claymores anymore if I read correctly. The 1.2 patch notes might have only been talking about AT mines though.

C4 is not a fancy grenade - thank the gods its being removed
It might be possible to detonate in mid air, because all theyre changing, is the time between throwing an being able to detonate C4. Theyre making it longer, so as long as where you throw the c4 means it can be in "midair" for long time, you should be able to detonate it

Well, personally I'm glad that C4 whoring is being (mostly) removed by the new patch. Now, I do play a lot of Karkand, and those who do (and are good at it) know that C4 whoring is becoming a problem. I can do it, and hell we need C4 to take out those damn tank whores (lol). But when people C4 whore to the point where you can't take them out beyond 100 m, that's a problem.
You shouldn't be able to throw C4s at all. Do you honestly think that in real life people would be throwing around such a dangerous explosive, pre-armed like a grenade? C4s are carefully set on the ground, armed with care, and the entire area is cleared to a safe distance before anyone detonates it. If you ask me, it should take 10 seconds to set and arm a C4.

I say you should have to be touching the surface of what you intend to detenate it on..... like you must kneel to the ground to set it down on the ground. Or must be right up against a tank to attach. Also you must be within say 100ft to detinate it. None of this "lay a bunch of bags all over a spawn and detinate as soon as it is being taken from across the map" B.S.
Also how about you CANNOT detinate if you are still less than 20ft from the bags.... no more kamikaze jeeps and suicide bombers.

i have to agree with what cr33do said about not being able to detonate if ure still in the 20 feet radius of ure c4. this will make the job of special forces all the more tactical the way they are in reall life and not suiciders and more... cause i mean there are a lot of people who go spec ops and suicide to take out a tank or something but they just suicide and then go back to medic. so no more suicides is a great idea. plus u wont get points taken off

Other than a TOW, c4 is the only way to destroy a tank by yourself. (lob lob, detonate > dead tank)
If c4's gunna be harder to use, at rockets should be more potent. This upcoming patch is bad for everyone but tank users.

i think you had me wrong. not detonate it in midair, but use the detonater while in midair. EA thinks its realistic that you can jump and throw a grenade to get the extra distance to say, throw it over a fence at Karkand. sorry if you people misunderstood. the suicide jeeps would still be in the game even with a 20 foot radius. dont know about the tread huggers tho.

exactly. hats what im saying. when you jump out the vehicles momentum keeps rolling it away. usually you dont take any team damage from this...

Hmmm...suicide bombing is a practical tactic used by Insurgents/Terrorists in todays wars. It is a problem I fear in my real life work and seems to fit realisticly in the game. Just food for thought.
i havent really tried for the ordinance badge, got basic, tho wouldnt have got that without being able to throw. how the hell ill get 23 IAR for expert if i can only place it and wait or jihad jeep... shee-it! my stats will turn to pish. i can see me lobbing a lot of c4 in the next few days...
I hate the fucking C4 throwing bitches It make dam neer impossible to drive a tank or APC. Hell what is the sense in have them on the maps if you cant even drive the dam things 10 feet without one of the C4 hugging hippies throwing one on you. Not that I am a tank hore but when I do get in one what is the point you die with in minutes of getting in. I am mostly a commader so I leave all vehicles alone and stay put in one place. Same goes for those plane hores that stand around all day waiting for a plane insted of going out and getting a flag. especially on Wake Island. Take the plane fly over base and jump out and take a dam flag.

what they should change is the distance you can throw a c4 package. it is obviously bulkier and heavier than a grenade so it should fall faster and not travel as far when thrown.
I bet EA totally fuck up with this new patch I'm just waiting to see what the new complaints will be because I'm sure there will be loads.

In special forces yes, and RPG rocket will kill a tank 1 hit, but in vanilla you hit a tank with 1 rocket, gives away your position, before you fire the 2nd your screwed (I said take out a tank by yourself too, 2 AT guys are good if you ever find someone on karkand thats not any other class)Rizen_Ji wrote:
