Lowering the multiplier = less performance. Why?

FSBxMultiplier=CPU Speed
Low CPU Speed=Less Performance
it only lower the multi when it doesn't need the power.  as soon as a program needs the full cpu speed it raises the multi back to max.  You will never notice the performance difference between it on or off.  But when it doesn't need the full CPU power it will lower the multi and vcore to use less power and generate less heat.

true that

You get to help cure diseases without costing you or having to really do anything. It's  such a waste to let your cycles go unused.

well it does cost the price to run your cpu at 100% which can add to to more than some realize.

not really. Even on high performance PCs (i.e multiple GPUs and quad cores) the difference between load and idle is like 100W. Assuming your electricity costs 0.10$/kWh and you run 24/7 it would cost you 0.24$ a day or 7.20$ a month. Don't tell me you can't afford that.

EDIT: come to think of it, no one is forcing you to run 24/7. Also the increase of power will be less than 100W for a normal PC. Chances are your PC isn't idle the whole time. So IRL it will probs cost you a lot less than the 7.20$/month I calculated

fah won't stress the GPU to those levels

going from idle to fah load on a 8800GT adds <45W. It's about the same for an OC'ed q6600. A dual core or a non-oc'ed quad will need even less. On my OC'ed 4870 going from idle to fah load adds 55W

thats about right. was just making fun of u because u forgot to mention fah. hehe

my q6600 g0 was real sucker for power when stressed all cores to the max. TDP was sky high at 3.6GHz. too hot for my 9700nt to handle lol.

If I see them I will. Although the most likely enemy of me would be SU-27 or Spetznaz commandos.

I'm in air surveillance unit. My  job is to spot planes with eye balls & ears and see ; where, what direction they go, how many, friend or foe, type, altitude, weapon load etc.

incorrect ceramique isn't adhesive.  It's not quite as good a performer as as5 but is also completely non conductive or capacitive.
but it can be used and often is used as an adhesive (such as sticking RAMsinks to vRAM)

make sure that layer is THIN.  all it is is something to fill in the little cracks.
Exactly, it's made for ram sinks and things that don't have self-sustained pressure.

MX-2 is non conductive, AS5 is formulated to reduce conductivity, but is still slightly conductive.
Surely the whole point of thermal paste is to be highly (thermally) conductive.

like the liquid metal. my gawd it is dangerous stuff. Eats aluminum and has great potential to short circuit stuff (if not melting it down before it)

fah pretty much only uses the shaders, the core and memory are left more or less idle.

look at prime95 and intel burn test as a example. Both use 100% of the CPU time, but IBT needs way more power and heats up the CPU more
