I just got a G5, replacing a MX518, but I my computer won't detect it. When I plugged it in it was fine, but after I installed the software it stopped working. When I plug in the 518 it works, but it doesn't with the G5. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Try the obvious complete wipe/uninstall of all Logitech drivers (G5 and MX518, if they're separate on your computer) and then restart the installation of your G5.

It wont recognize it because you got rid of your MX518, the best mouse ever invented, no joke

G5 waaaaaaaaaat

You might need to wipe all logitech software off your comp, assuming you already tried taking off all the mouse drivers and it was still messing up you might need to take your G15 drivers off as well. Sounds kinda dumb but obviously it's a software, not a hardware issue.

Make sure your USB is working/functioning properly.

I don't even use the G5 software, such a pain the ass...
