They got there by mass producing sportsgames every year. They get away cheap to by only changing very few things every year and they allready released NHL 2009, for god sake its still 2008.

Also even being the biggest company, the richest company, they are still unable to release patches within reasonable times. They are cheap bastard that's for sure.

Some time ago they told they would make quality games instead of quantities games. They go ahead and cancel C&C Tiberium because of it.

I dunno if adding zipline, grapple etc to regular BF2 would be such a good idea. The SF maps are designed with that equipment in mind, but with vanilla maps there are meant to be roofs you can't reach for the sake of balance. And there's also the issue of using the grapple to wallglitch, which is still an issue in SF.
I also remember hearing that it's impossible to add more weapons to the game due to the way it's coded (or something along those lines).
I wouldn't be too fussed if they made this just a "fix" patch and not add any new content. A new map would be nice, but as long as they fix bugs and do some balancing (F35 lol) I'd be happy with it.

Create one .exe file for all mods/versions of the game. I hate having to quit and restart the game just to change from vanilla to SF. I suspect doing this would increase the interest in SF and all other mods for that matter too.
In addition, enable servers with both vanilla and SF maps in the rotation.
Fix the bugs, theres plenty so I'm not going to name any.
punkbuster update, kick/ban the hackers.

not likely, the only version of bf2 that you can really find in large availability is the complete collection, but if EF/AF were free then they wouldn't sell the moneymaking one, people would go on to amazon and get the cheaper one (BF2 deluxe (includes SF) or just vanilla), and effectively get the same for less. It would be nice if they would fix the buddylist in the game so you can color code your friends on the map like you could in BFV. the console commands are in bf2, but they dont work.
