A pair of Nike Air Monarch IV's for $50.
US12/4E, though I'm usually US13 (no, nothing to do with my handle). The heels have a bit more support than I generally care for, but I gave up on buying running shoes and replaced my walking shoes instead. If I still played basketball, these would've never done because Nike is schizophrenic and gave them a partial black rubber sole bordering the white rubber.
I tried some of the ones with split toes, which felt comfy and looked interesting, but didn't seem very durable. I also tried the Reebok Zigs and Realflexes, which I didn't care too much for. None of the Zigs in stock were the same shape as my foot and the Realflex disturbed me. It felt like the center axis of the foot from front to back had too much support. Each step I took, my feet wanted to roll left or right. Didn't get a chance to try the Nike Freeruns, but I'll give them a shot sooner or later.
Yeah, I have tons of shoes but they're all worn the hell out. The Merrell Vibram Continuum US13's (silly name, I know) lasted for about two years, but were worn so much that I'm going to have to stuff insoles into them, and the unpadded rear topline cut some wicked callouses into my heels.
