I have a X52 flight system, and lately my joystick's lights have been flashing on and off or blinking as you may call it. My throttle is fine, but the joystick itself keeps on blinking and it is starting to annoy me. How do I fix it? I already unplugged and replugged it.

Don't think so, I lost the instruction manual for it.

i don't have that joystick, but the following should help you - it's from the Saitek forums themselves

Many users have reported that their X52's are blinking repeatedly for no reason at all.  I have a solution, but let's read about the technological part first.

The Saitek X52 often blinks because of little lights called LEDs, or Light Emitting Diodes.  These "LEDs" receive an electrical pulse, so that when there is electricity flowing through them the semiconductor inside the LED glows.  When the electricity is turned off, the LED shuts off.  This repeats several times until the electric current either shuts off completely or stays on.

The moment you've all been waiting for: my solution.

1) Pick up screwdriver
2) Unscrew X52 screws
3) Remove LED lights
4) Reassemble X52
5) Put down screwdriver in safe place
6) ????
7) Profit
Hope it helps.

Give the drivers that came with it and install and change the led settings? Or put in in your arse, your call...

so either:
1) no one read my quote and assumed it really WAS from saitek's forums (do they even exist?)
2) didn't catch the blatant lack of any joystick expertise whatsoever

either way, i spent such a long time on that post someone better laugh at it.

I'd suggest not tearing it apart, put tape or something over the leds. Taking it apart would probably result in voiding the warranty.
