At my school we have to do these things called senior projects. They happen during May. It's pretty sweet, since for us seniors school basically ends in April (unless you're taking an AP course that mandates you to take the AP exam).
You can do many things, e.g. community service, learn some songs on an instrument, or an internship. I'm thinking of an internship.
What should I do? It has to be in the DC area, so I unfortunately can't go to California. I was thinking some research lab, partly cause it really interests me but also because it'd be cool to say I worked at the Naval Research Station or Naval Support Facility or USAMRIID.
