Simple math really. Take how many possibilities can the first number be, along with the others, and multiply it. In this case, the situation is like this:
Frist Number Possibilities: 0-9 (10 numbers)
Second Number Possibilities: 0-9 (10 numbers)
Third Number Possibilities: 0-9 (10 numbers)
10x10x10=1000
Frist Number Possibilities: 0-9 (10 numbers)
Second Number Possibilities: 0-9 (10 numbers)
Third Number Possibilities: 0-9 (10 numbers)
