hi guys,
i would like to buy a new PC.
i want to build it by myself and know how to etc. but I'm not up-to-date with the newest hardware out there.
may you can build me a rig which i need in first line for games ( bf2,cod4,...)
got a version of WinXP and a budget of around 1000€.
I'm from Germany so i want to have it all from www.alternate.de .

Not at all. Some German shops have languages for you to select. I often order from this German shop: http://www.hpm-computer.de/
As you can see everything is translated in English.

All of them. It's one of the best GPUs and a highly OCable CPU (4GHz is dead easy).

If you want nvidia, that's no problem but you will have to pay a little more
GTX260 - slightly slower than the 4870 on average ~ 250€

GTX260 core 216- about the same as a 4870 ~ 280+€

GTX280 - slightly faster than the 4870 ~ 390+€

If you run really high resolutions, you should get a card with more than 512MB ram. For high resolutions crossfire and SLI scale pretty nicely, so putting 2 slower GPUs into the PC may also make sense. If you want to run SLI, you'll need an SLI enabled mobo (something based off the 780i chipset)

So, is it actually worth it to buy a 4870 1 GB if you only have a 22'' with 1680x1050 ?
Or is the 512 MB enough ?
