I doubt a Corsair HX520 can do 700W, tbh. Maybe 600.

Although you can run most PC's on a 350 or 400W PSU, buying one is just pointless. Most of them either don't have enough connectors, or don't have the required connectors, and they don't have much Amps due to physical impossibilities. So while your PC might run off 350W, buying a 350W PSU isn't real intelligent.

Especially if you ever wish to upgrade. A top-of-the-line PC right now will use quite a bit more than 350W, so you'd need a new PSU again. Might as well buy something that will last a long time like a nice 500 or 600W.

lol its telling me i need 357w... theres no way this system would run on 350w lol.
Come back to me after your PSUs have died.

A good quality PSU will cope with a system that requires more power than the PSU is rated at, but not for very long (like a couple of years, if you're lucky).

Of course, if you upgrade often, then it's not a problem.
U replying to DU? because i dont see how that has anything to do with my post. lol
Sorry, yes, misquoted.

I have a similar setup and got an antec 650 watt recently for 90 bucks... it's great... I would stick with a namebrand and having a little extra power doesn't hurt...

500 watt basig antec    45 bucks

When it is $20, it doesn't really matter. The main thing is that the PPC will run.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Well I'd get StealthXStream 500W for $30 after rebates anyways. That shit is hot.
