I enjoy it well enough. Garish decorations are fun to look at, and most of the family trades swaps gift cards. I get to see my aunt's parrot, and hide behind my grandma's Japanese chins to the avoid its knuckle chewing habits. I wince whenever that fowl crawls up my leg, because I know it's going to crack a button on my coat or randomly nip a finger.

Rabid commercialization kind of ruins it though (from Black Friday on, only this one just sold a lot of junk). I bet that one Walmart employee's family loves Christmas now.

That's no way to speak of your Grandmother like that you should be ashamed but grateful that her dentures still work

I'm guessing this was obvious, but I was talking about the parrot.

Its sad when you have kids, you dont get as much.  Im a sulky bastard and still miss my Mum, this be 3rd crimbo without her but thankfully due to your own kids when you loose a parent Crimbo still goes on, thats who its all about.
Don't get as much?

I got my Dad a boxed set of DVDs (spooks, seasons 1-6). He better fucking appreciate it. Phat lewt that is, wasn't that cheap either. A couple nights at the pub worth at least.

Oh and I was indifferent to Christmas for a few years until last year when the family wasn't together for it, bro had moved out and Dad was away.

So this year it's pretty cool as the family is actually all in the same place again. For a week or two anyway.
