Got out of work at 10 last night, got home at the back of eleven. Up at 6, into work for 8. Fuck this. I can't see I'm that tired.

What work do you do?
Run behind a car and you'll be exhausted.

Work in retail, it's part time. But yesterday I was in college from 9-half 4 then worked from 5-10. And we have a 40 crate delivery of clothes to be sorted todayTheAussieReaper wrote:

Chin up Schlopp's and think of the money your making. I send you a virtual pat on the back and a Bacon Double Cheeseburger for dinner time.

Both Asia and the OP are a source of cheap labour?NooBesT wrote:

You do know the google ads are now aimed at the person who is logged in? and not the subject line of the topic?NooBesT wrote:

@SirSchloppy, burtons eh. Can you get me a discount on a suit?
Wait, what. You got some sleep and yet you're tired? How can you call yourself a student.
I had a 9-5 day in the hospital classrooms, then 5pm-7am on-call (we're only students so we're only allowed to take blood and stuff). I got 30 mins sleep before ward rounds at 7:30.

I want males, not females
mate thats illegal, they cant have you gettin home at eleven and expect you be in at that time, u can take them up on it, but at this time of people getting laid off i wudnt....
I know it's illegal, there's a new EU directive that's about to come into force dictating that you have to have at least 11 hours between shifts.david363 wrote:

I'm not bothered about doing it, I'm kissing as much ass as I can 'cause it's a temp job and I really need a permanent part time job.
Wasn't too bad the day though, only had to carry 40 crates of clothes up 2 flights of stairs.
Should lose some weight.
And @ .Sup. I was being hyperbolative (have no idea if that's the correct word but I don't care 'cause I'm knackered and it makes sense in my head.)
I was gonna say. I'm up until after 12 and then up at before 7 regularly......Jenspm wrote:
That's pretty normal for a student, isn't it?
well your glad you didnt work on my dads shifts in the 80's when very little health and safety was around, He made all of the staff at the factory work 16 hour sometimes 20 hour shifts everyday for 3 months and it that time 3 people got injured and 1 died though he said he felt ill so the factory didnt get sued.
hell I think a 9 hour shift even now is very little I only feel a little more tired than usual on a monday morning Im in 6th form btw.

Dear God please let my karma one day reach 100, whether it be tomorrow or 1000 years in the future i want it to happen.
I'm with Aries, University student lifestyle is hardcore. What I thought was 'hard' during A-Levels is a walk in the park, such an eze lifestyle

I thought it was only illegal if they demanded you work those sorts of hours, but if you request to do those hours, they can allow it.david363 wrote:

Earlier this month, a friend of mine was pulling double shifts (16hours) for 2 days, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off, etc, for 2 weeks because he needed the money.
goddamn, i hate how life pushes you to the limits, especially college. When I get less than like 7 hours of sleep, i pretty much turn into a vegetable the next day, my social conversation becomes shit, and i just can't talk to people. I'm just grumpy as fuck
Are you a natural with informative thread title or have you practiced?

Sorry, op'd at 6am GMT. Wasn't in a creative mood since I just flopped out of bed.Varegg wrote:

I think Varegg expects thread titles such as:
'The emancipation of the overburdened proletariat and their eternal exertions by R.V.Schloppeiy'.
