He's an absolute star my ol man, stuck in the last century but loves his gadets and technology but breaks it or cant use it.  Spends £5k on hearing aids, keeps leaving the batteries on so the fucking thing whistles all the time (the aid that is) and £5k on new teeth, he used to forget the old ones when we take him out for dinner but these fuckers are screwed into his gob so he can't.

Switch - I hope to add photo's to my facebook later, you'll see both the teeth and the hearing aid then.

So, what are BF2sers doing for Christmas this year? Anything special?
Relaxing, enjoying the time off work i booked and spending time with the family and the dogs. Probably find the time for some WoW and BF2, also got FO3 to install, want to see what all the fuss is about.

How about you Cam?
Well my youngest brother is in Australia, my girlfriend has flown home to her folks in Nova Scotia and my folks are off on a Caribbean cruise to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary so I'm on my tod for Christmas day (my brother Braddock is going to his gf's house a few counties away for Christmas day). Got an invite from a buddy for Xmas dinner though so that's not so bad. Basically Christmas for me will be an 11 day stint in the local pubs intermingled with much reading, DVDs and making preparations for a new role at work in the new year........ Uni buddies are coming up for our annual reunion on the 29th which should be good craic.

Might do a 'Lost' DVD marathon.

Large family gathering, visiting distant relatives for the period after Xmas; possibly going to Florida or South Africa to see my uncle depending on where he's at, don't really have much of a clue about where he'll be but we generally visit one of his places for some post-Xmas chillout- a holiday within a holiday sorta thing .

I do agree with the sentiments expressed here, Xmas just isn't the same anymore! I am dreading the inevitability of the first Christmas spent alone or spent low-key, even though everyone has to experience it. There's certainly not much hype or excitement anymore, instead its more about just having a good family gathering and a few drinks. Much more looking forward to the partying and craziness of New Years, whichever country I'll be spending that in... big partying!

I'm taking my kids north to Chicago to see snow for the first time ever.  Visiting granny and my sister.  Getting owned by nephews in Wii lightsaber duels & guitar hero.  Kicking their ass in ping pong.  Much eggnog Christmas eve.  Enjoying the wife's heisman during an attempted copulation.  Hangover with presents.  Watching kids believe.  Turkey, couch and football.

In total, I hope to burn off less than 100 calories on Xmas day - moving from bed to couch to dinner table to couch to bed.

Yeah! I remember I had a bix mix of different types of those cars, all around the same size, so they worked..... with a little imagination.

Or legos.  Castle day legos.   REAL LEGOS.   Not the crap they have out now.   I went down a lego aisle and about weeped.   It's now figurines where legos can be snapped on... in a few select spots.   Or,   massive parts and hooligags that aren't legos dammit.

Btw, Does anyone remember "Army Ants?"

http://www.virtualtoychest.com/armyants/armyants.html

I lost all the parts ages ago, but I still have a few of these guys.  I think they had termites come out too.

The whole family (6) are usually only together for a full day about 3 times a year ... Christmas is one of them, so that I guess. I'll be sick of them by 1PM (actually one isn't up until then so make that 2PM)

Well its 11:30 PM and just got home from work when I was supposed to finish at 9.30. Will sleep sometime and wake up and see all the archery stuff that I have already sighted in but mum insisted she wrapped it (cute tbh) And then that night get on a 9 hour bus to see my father and grandparents with my gf.

Shit m8 that's a bit rough.

9 hours on a bus... Feck, where's your Dad live, Perf? Cairns? Darwin? Aidslaide?

My Christmas has just been the immediate family. With all the dysfunction it entails.

Can't live with them, can't live without them.

'27, Dad got us all cheap remote control aeroplanes. Goin to be a laff tomorrow. I think they'll all be destroyed by lunchtime.

I have three days off starting today. One of my relatives are having supper just outside of town, so I'm going there tomorrow. Other than that, I'm just bumming around and enjoying Christmas.
