But the engine responds to different FPS, so you can get different results, higher rpm, jump higher etc.JoshP wrote:
This. The average monitor displays at 60Hz, which means your monitor refreshes the picture 60 times in a second, which means that of your 250fps in COD4, you only get to see 60 of these frames.

protip: just because CRT's can run high resolutions, doesn't mean they actually have that amount of pixels on screen..iMPaCT.uK wrote:
think highest res monitor goes to is 1920 x 1440 @ 85 Hz
so ye.
CRT > TFT and they only cost 30 quid of ebay. I think people forget that TFT's are actually a stepback from them huge CRT's with refreshrates etc and that CRT's are the best monitors for gaming. highest H a TFT can reach is 85hz yet CRT's can get 120-150Hz depending on the model @ lower resolutions like 800x600 or 1024x768
And CRT will never, EVER be as crystal clear as decent TFT panels...
And CRT's make my head hurt after a while because of the way they refresh, TFT's will never make your head/eyes hurt since they are not flashing..
@ Sup.
Am I the only one to notice the humongous mousepad?

Best mouse I ever had. The thing I like the most is the memory the mouse has built in -no need for drivers (except for the first time when you need to configure your settings). So even if you reinstall Windows or plug the mouse in a different PC, your settings will still be stored.iMPaCT.uK wrote:

@impact
crt's are teh ghey, big, intrusive, not very clear, and at really high refresh rates then your eye stops being able to tell the difference between say 150Hz and 200Hz - 200Hz = one frame every 5ms, which is pretty damn quick, and i very much doubt you could tell the difference
nice monitor .sup, 22" (looks like it?) (or bigger) widescreens are always win
i need a new mouse too

I can see the logo on my screen :3
If you have a CRT that might be the reason why you cannot see it

Oh yeah, the logo does show up if i angle myself to the monitor What's wrong with my monitor settings if i can't see that? (LG 22" TFT, 5000:1 contrast ratio ) I'm in the highest contrast mode at the moment too
And the mousemat is lolz, my gran gave me it about a year ago, must have cost like £2 Hey, it still works well (collects dirt like a bitch though)
That is a pretty sexy lamp.cospengle wrote:

My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
Maybe you have set your brightness or contrast level too brightJoshP wrote:

The other way round, CRT's have far better image quality. VA panels may come near, but they cost a lot and have bad refresh rates.FloppY_ wrote:

CRT's do not make yor head hurt if you have a big refresh rate. 60Hz or 70Hz will, 85+ will not.FloppY_ wrote:

I have never, EVER seen a CRT that could produce better images than my LG Flatron NT panel... nothing near it infact..

Over 9000.
4000dpi ,9 individually programmable buttons , 6 individual profiles, onboard memory <3
and before this one i had a same one as floppy ^^ loved it the whole time , and for you with the intelli, learn one; thing microsoft stuff is crap ALWAYS and dont blame razer , you aren't supposed to slam it in the wall during lags

why would u need 4000 DPi? what have u got monster sensistivity? wtf...

OT 625dpi/0.3 sens
60Hz screen ?= 60fps shown max? ... fail, that would work with V-sync on, bf2 has V-sync OFF and the difference is visible
