One day long ago, my laptop decided to be stupid and say that some essential Windows file was missing. So I couldn't boot into it. I tried installing Ubuntu but that didn't work out well.
Now I was just trying to install Linux Mint, but that didn't go very well. The laptop boots from the CD, gets through an initial loading screen, then just hangs while showing a cursor.
How do I make that not happen?
