...you knew how many hours of your life it would take up.

Wasting 1,500+ hours on this game plus time on bf2s(being this site was started because of bf2) I probably would have not. Seriously, I would of burned it.

Dunno, it'd probably just be something else instead. Be it a free browser game, a console game or a book. I don't really pass up real life to play bf2, I just play it when nothing is happening. Same as bf2s.

This game kind of sucked me into the internet and computers. Before that I was one of those people who thought the only use computers had were for myspace/youtube/limewire.

The only reason I got BF2 in the first place was cos a guy I knew gave me a free CD code way back (I downloaded the game and used the CD code). Then the ball started rolling...(yes, eventually I went and got the deluxe edition for cheap cos I was hooked like a bitch)

Otherwise I wouldn't have ever bought it. I mean I rarely played games that much, especially not FPS games, especially not on the PC. There was some CoD here and there but that was it really. Come to think of it, getting BF2 and then being on bf2s etc....really was something that has impacted my life alot

But yeah, I do spend a lot of time playing it

Yeah, idk, not sure if I would have or not. I only spent around 400 hours total on bf2 but it did introduce me to online gaming in general. So in that respect...

Then again it's something I enjoy and I tend not to regret things. Besides I've seen some of the funniest shit in my life on this website. Paranoid101's work, Nitro's awsmleetskillzorz, The Bearz being a dick, Contayner and Sheffatz etc. etc.

I think I would of never bought this game.

1000+ hours on bf2, and this game brought me into gaming so that's easily another 500hours there lost.
It affected my social life, not as much anymore cause as soon as something irl pops up I don't think twice and go out.
I'm slowly recovering my social life, and it amazes me how much I missed out...

But I did learn a lot about computers, met many new friends online.

Wonder where I'd be right now without BF2, probably a lot farther in life

I'm not sure. I have spent way to many hours in front of my PC because of it, but I have had some fucking hilarious times on it, and went to Holland to see one of my old clan, plus had a weekend in which I met some of my current clan. Now I only play when I'm really bored.

I have to admit, I did not expect a simple stats-check visit to bf2s to result in such a prolonged period of posting and site browsing... I haven't played BF2 'seriously' in over a year yet still regularly drop by the website on an almost daily basis. I guess that's what community and other game support brings to the table... I don't regret it though, it's all lulzworthy!

yeah, compared to most games, for the £15, £20, £25 or whatever you spent on BF2, you got a hell of a lot more fun out of it than most other games
