Instead of upgrading my Windows XP Pro to Vista, should I wait for Windows 7?

If you can get 64 bit drivers, it probably is superior to 32 bit xpGooners wrote:

depends what applications and hardware u are gonna be using or u use, certain applications are compatible with XP 64 bit and certain ones are not, I know MS has worked more on Vista 64 bit than XP 64 bit... so if you are willing ot gamble go headghettoperson wrote:
64bit XP whilst great in theory, is utterly useless for drivers. I used it for about a week before I got pissed off. 64bit Vista FTW. Now I've gotten used to it I'm actually very happy with it.

That's right, I'm putting OSX above your XP
If have XP already then sticking with it is fine. If you have to buy an OS the it's dumb IMO to pay for XP over vista. What people who say skip Vista and go for Window 7 seem to forget is every MS OS sucks at launch so it will be 6-12 months after 7 comes out that most would touch it.Harmor wrote:
