ever herd of a X1650? well dont bother with that its outdated but a change a few numbers and add a HD to the front and u get HD 4850. Which is a very good card

afaik u'd be better off buying a 1gb 4870 as cf isnt worth it on lower-end cards (and if u have a CF motherboard that leaves the opurtunity to add anohter 4870 later).

on those high resolutions you nearly get a 100% speed boost with a second 2900XT. I'm not sure how they stack up against RV770 though. Also you'll need a crossfire compatible mobo. Either way it's worth looking at

but my 2900xt is only 256mb and if i add another one 256mb will be just 512mb. good enough?

man u really need a HD 4870 X2. but a HD 4870 1GB will do... maybe CF later?

edit: and yes, that high resolution NEEDS 1GB card. There is big difference even with 896MB and 1024MB (HD 4870 X2 vs GTX 295).

I don't ever be gaming at 2560x2048 so the GTX 295 is better for me as it pwns at 1900x1200 or lower res.

and going CF with two 256MB cards doesn't double tthe vram available. it is still 256MB.
