...and it's official. you may or may not have noticed (i brought it up in the #bf2s IRC channel the other day) that when you go into BF2 or SF the popup window for EF has changed slightly. it used to say something along the lines of "arriving february 8th" whereas now it just says it "lands february".

curious, no?

well, i just checked out the forums over at battlefield2.com...and there is a lone post, not even it's own thread, but a reply to a thread, in the announcements section.

" The date for the Eruo Forces Booster Pack has slipped slightly. We don't yet have a new date. You will see an updated announcement when we have a new release date. "

yeah, and to be honest, i'd much rather have them release a bug free (wishful thinking, i know) patch. what i'm thinking though is that it's something to do with the booster pack. perhaps during testing they found an unforeseen bug or glitch that needed extensive fixing.

b.schuss, youre not getting it for free like you did with SF? pfft, you'll get no pity from me

oh, I am old enough alright, but I just have never needed to get a credit card. In germany, the ATM cards we get from our banks also serve as means of electronic payment in 99% percent of all shops and businesses.

But Í am thinking of getting a credit card. a lot of online shopping can only be done if you have one.

Or I might simply borrow a credit card from a friend.

we will see about that.

here in italy we have Postepay, its a kind of credit card that doesnt need a bank account, u go to the post office with the money, u recharge the card and then u can pay (its a visa visa electron)

there 2 types:

under 18 years old - plafond 1000€
over 18 years old - plafond 2000€

They're going to sell activation codes in stores for countries like Germany, where credit cards aren't that popular, because you are able to overdraft your bank account.
With this activation codes you can download the booster packs.

your gona get screwed by it becuase the new maps can slide into the normal rotation with the existing maps.

unless you just play specific 24/7 maps.

To them there don't have a credit card. I have read on a other forum that EF will come out in the store but with out a CD in it, only with a download code so you can download it from EA dowload sites But i can't say that it is true

I have this to from a other forum :

Euro Forces release date 2/16/06

An EA Germany-official just confirmed that the neu release date for the booster pack Euro Force will be Feb 16th 2006. The first booster pack will be also sold in stores and not as was thought via the EA-downloader. In the package will only be a download code and an URL and no media included.

So i guess it will be the 16th for all of us.
