Since christmas break is nearly over and I wont have as much time to play games, I am finally willing to RMA parts and be gameless for a while . BF2 seems to be the only game getting low FPS, though I havent extensively tested some of my other older games. Ive tested every other piece of hardware in my computer, and they seem to be fine (note: havent been able to swap GPUs as I sold my old one). Im wondering if my mobo, being ECS and possibly full of fail, could cause lag in a specific game? Even though it would make no sense whatsoever, could the PSU do that too?

PS: Whenever I get a chance to swap my GPU out, if it turns out to be the problem and I want to RMA it... Ive had the GPU since August, would I RMA it to Newegg or PNY?

Bad PSU can cause all kinds of funky shit.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You RMA to PNY unless you qualify for some extended return policy or something on Newegg. Generally they only have a 30 day return policy, but sometimes it's a year depending on the item. I'm not sure off the top of my head what a GPU is good for.

Is the PSU is bad and components aren't getting enough power, then yes they will have less performance. However to be game specific, that doesn't seem likely. Sounds more like drivers tbh.

Won't be PSU.

I'm assuming you've turned off your onboard video properly so you aren't getting any conflicts?
