Fuck. You guys still don't even realise that it comes with Vista yet is still that cheap. And a monitor is a monitor, not everyone needs a monitor with <3ms response time or something ridiculous like that. You people need to get out of your stupid gamer attitude and grow the fuck up.

And how the hell will it break anyway, what type of retard do you have to be to break something in 6 months and a mouse and keyboard is a mouse and keyboard, how can there be such a thing as a crap peripheral. Again, not everyone needs a fucking G15 or whatever it is with preset hotkeys so it makes it easier to prone spam in BF2 or whatever it is you guys do.

I'm probably wasting my time as you all have been ingrained by those shitty gamer tech websites
It's a piece of shit.

If you want an old granny-surf-the-web PC, there are better options. 1GB of RAM is hardly enough to run Vista smoothly, even without playing games. The interface will lag a lot and doing simple functions will be shitty. Plus it's slow RAM. And a small HDD. And a small monitor. And ....

It's a piece of shit, like most pre-built PC's.

Beat by 30 cents. Twice the RAM, much better screen, somewhat better CPU, all-important keyboard and mouse included, Vista is free, Finny if anyone should know that, and better quality all over the board.

Mek you shut up.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I'm kinda with Mek, I have to say.

Every thread in the 'Tech' section ultimately boils down to a dick-swinging contest between the resident nerds that, sadly, often overstep the mark of being helpful and imparting their techy wisdom and instead go into petty geek-squabbles/competitions and some sort of penis-measurement-via-F@H discussion.

Just saying, if you were actually employed on a real 'Tech Team' and you responded to a client's brief/specification for a basic BF2-capable PC in this way, I would fuckin' fire your asses. Not everyone is trying to cure Alzheimers (lulz, lemme know how that's going in 250 years) whilst running CoD4 twice in three different windows in DirectX 12. He wants a computer that can play Battlefield 2 capably... jeesh.

Ah, plus http://www.ebuyer.com/product/108453 for card reader
Dude, that one in the OP comes with Vista, and Keyboard/Mouse. And it's pre-built. The specs may not be amazing, but it's pretty much awesome value for money.

Only you tech retards who don't understand money or value will complain
There's no value in a crap pc that will break after six months. Especially one that comes with crap peripherals. On the other hand there is value in getting good quality parts that will build a pc that can and probably would last six years if well maintained.
Funny I still have a crap prebuilt that's chugging along after 6-7 yrs, and I know of many others.  Yea they are slow as shit, but as fast as they day they were bought.  Most problems with prebuilts I've seen are from user stupidity.  The PSU's are enough for what it came with but idiots try to add in the latest gpu and extra HDD's and they can't handle it.

Would I personally buy it, No.   If my mom was looking for one would I point her towards it, yes (she does currently have an ACER desk top, and guess what after a year it's still magically running.

The Tech Team is here to give you any advice and help that you need. This thread's title "beat this computer" is exactly what some of the tech team members (and some who aren't members) are doing. People with the badge were given it for a reason.

And if you think we're all hardware power-craving junkies, may I remind you all that I bought a MacBook when I could have had a PC with a lot more power for cheaper, and the specs of my desktop PC are nothing to boast about.

What I'm trying to say is that custom does not equal powerful. It equals a computer configured exactly for it's purpose and built by oneself.
