I've just finished downloading 18.5 gigabytes of a series of movies called Zatoichi. 26 movies that go for about an hour and a half or more, each. Might not sound much but on an Aussie internet connection it is.

It took me a few weeks downloading them all bit by bit each night (yes I'm going to buy the dvd's, finding all 26 movies that were made from 1962 til 73 isn't easy though, hence the download first) so I'm not a naughty little boy.

But I was wondering what you guys typically have downloaded (for backup or whatever) and have been patient enough to let it spend hours doing so?

Around 60GB of WPA rainbow tables.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

~900GB. A 1TB drive died on me and I had to redownload everything
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

CS3.

Was only about 4GB, but AOL throttle torrents to ~10kbps, so took a week or two to download.

Spoiler (highlight to read):

Oops, did I just admit to torrenting CS3?

Goddamn go get laid.

EDIT: I downloaded a file which had no relation to Electronic Arts or their associates which was coincidently named "Spore". It was also coincidently around 4GB in file size. But it was not a game. Honest.

Spoiler (highlight to read):
The fucking game didn't even work

The entire collection of Bond movies, handily packaged into one file. Can't remember how big it was, 20+ gigs I think.

EDIT: On a similar note, I once took 3 guys at once and swallowed it all. Yum.

What the hell would a 14-year-old do with something like that?
