It depends on your income level and assets here. I'm a scrappy teenager who has nothing to his name except video games. I get a sheet from my employer that tells me how much I've made, and I fill out a form called the 1040EZ. I send that to the IRS and eventually I either get a tax refund from the government or I have to pay up taxes (chances are I'll either have no refund or I will have a refund, since my employer automatically withholds taxes from the paycheck).Sydney wrote:

I don't know how you file taxes in the US, but here in Iceland it's as simple as logging into the (insert Icelandic equivalent of IRS here) website with the login information you got sent in snail mail, verify if the tax amount that your employer filed matches your records, then click verify and you're done. Takes a whole 10 minutes.
