Strange, whenever i used the default controls it took over a second to get into TV mode, by which time my chopper had already rotated by about 90 degrees. Maybe i just have a laggy PC

It could be an issue with your computer or ping.

And it does take some practice to be able to do it quickly, I know it wasn't easy when I first started.

If you can't do it quickly enough simply apply some counter spin before switching seats, then fire when the angle is correct and you are fine...

Well, yeah, but it's loads faster for me with the modded config, I don't really get why I lagged when seatswitching before (happened on all servers so not ping, computer has 2gb ram and ~ 30fps so probably not an issue, but meh). Then again faster > slower, so yeah
