Is that glitch with the Vet Pistol badge that prevents you from getting First Seargrent still around? Because I'd really hate to not get the rank just because of that damn glitch.
Far as I know it is, but don't quote me on it. Easiest thing to do is get your basic pistol & knife. They're not too hard. I remember thinking they were a impossible at the time, but when you actually try, they're easy. if you try on the right maps. That way you'll know you've got it.
No, I've got 'em. I mean, wasn't there a glitch that if you had Veteran Pistol combat, it didn't recognize the Basic Pistol and you couldn't get First Sergeant? I've got Veteran Pistol and I was wondering if that glitch still existed.

Nah the glitch was with the knife combat badge because it had a similar IAR round requirement which is seven. The problem was when people got 50 total kills with a knife but hadn't received the basic knife yet. When they got the IAR requirement they received the vet knife but not the basic. I picked up my 1st Sgt today 01-27-06 (w00t!) so to answer your question. No, the problem is gone.
i did not get my 1st Sgt rank. i got my vet knife badge directly with my basic together which is two day ago, so far no drum roll
You need to get the badges BEFORE you are promoted to master sargent. Otherwise you won't get to first sargent.amgln wrote:

Yes, I hate DICE too...
it's just like in real life- can't go to PLDC after you're a master sergeant to get 1st sgt. actually, i'm not sure if that's true...
