Ive only used Steelseries 5H. They're decent and pretty sturdy. Dont know about the 4H, but Im sure they're just as good.

Apparently the Creative Fatality kicks ass, but I've heard good things about steelseries too.

Personally, I'd go with the steelseries, the markings on the fatality looks stupid IMO, I prefer the steelseries look.

Time to hugely contradict what I said when I got my Trittons...but...surround sound in a headset is shit. I found myself using stereo mode for gaming because I just couldn't make out the sounds with surround sound. The volume of the sounds change and it makes it hard to distinguish "where".

Good stereo headphones >>> surround sound headphones.

Also, everyone I've ever talked to with those Turtle Beaches said they were shit and fell apart in a month.

I have a Tritton 5.1 headset and I love it.  You're right about the surround speakers being a bit quiet though.  But all you have to do is set them one notch higher than the front and center speakers and that fixes the problem.  I think the extra speakers really help me place sounds better than with my old logitech stereo headset.

It's great for movies too.

If you get a good surround sound headset you'll love them, I love my Speedlink Medusa 5.1 pro gamer as its got great sound quality with really good bass, its really easy to tell direction with them too.

They're great for music and movies too (to reiterate spik3y).
