Reports this morning suggest Man City are offering upto £175m for Kaka, don't be fooled by his name, he's quite good apparently (ok Zimmer not as good as Messi) but still good.

Man City are owned by some Arab fella Musthpa Lottowonga or something

How fucking stupid is this. You could buy Swansea for £20 and then buy kaka, you could possibly feed all the starving kids of Africa aswell.

He isnt worth that amount and you shouldnt be allowed to chuck that kind of money around either. They should cap it at £50m which is still too much for any player. So go on spend the money on getting him, pay him arf a Mill each week and watch the poor fucker pull a muscle in his back as he attempts to lift his wallett.

I do not blame the player in any of this. It could all be BS anyway, we will have to wait and see.

You're only worth what they're willing to pay. If they're willing to pay that much, then he is worth that much (he isnt actually, but technically that is his value).

It is silly money though. If they do this, they will have to pay through the nose for every player they want to sign

Scudamore reckons football gates will fall 1% during the recission, lol@ that, and the rest.

Not quite but a chuck towards him yes. His agent may be on 10% of any transfer fee and 5% of wage, how much will that lucky fucker make just for accompanying him to a hotel where they strike the deal.

They will put season tickets up say 15%, whats inflation? Whats the price for a ticket (average) At a non educated guess I'll go with £750 now, £950 next season for what 20 home games?

Approx £50 per game before food, travel, programmes etc and empty pop bottles to fill with piss and chuck at rival fans, or is that only us lot?

Its dangerous and as a Man City fan I would be shitting bricks not jumping with joy, I'll try my best to explain why:

The Arab chucks all the money in and gets bored and fucks off to Dubai to start a whole new league never mind team and between the money men they import the best players going (this kind of already happens, but they get players nearing the end of their careers, well this wont last forever, players in their prime will just fuck off chasing the sun and wonga, who can blame em eh?). The USA almost did it in the 70's, Pele, Best and now Beckam, for eg's.

Man City get left with a huge wage bill with a Merc or Beema that devalues as soon as you drive it off the forecourt. You will only ever get £7m for Kaka if your lucky. Look at the players Chelsea have brought in an re-sold (Justice I stand to be corrected and as you know mate this isn't a dig at your boys either). But Chelsea can afford a loss and at the mo so can Man City, however nothing lasts forever and football; like a recission is just a cycle, the trick is when its your turn at the top try and stay there for as long as poss. Man Uts have done a great job at doing this.

So imagine the mess Man City are in if the Arab leaves after buying these guys and wacking the wage bill up. I predicted in the 'football prediction' thread that Hughes wont be in place by the time the next season starts because of the quick success the money men expect for their investment. Mourniho won the league, runner up in Champs League, won both domestic cups and that wasnt enough.

How do the current players feel. Richard Dunne, not the best defender ever but Man City's captain, consistant, a good role model and overall nice guy. He must know deep down his days are numbered and yet he has done nothing wrong. He wears his shirt with pride, gives 100% every game yet he will be pushed out for a bigger name who will only come if made capt. Hughes is respected but not even his name is big enough and except for international honours he has just about won it all.

I hope this guys sticks around forever if not it could mean the end for Man City and that would be awful.
