Google where the registry keys are located, back up your registry, then delete the offending keys

I did it with CS 1.6, CoD and BF1942.

Only the latter-most didn't work but the former two required one to enter the CD Key every time they played.

So...how am I going to find the registry keys for the game?

Uhm, okay I don't like the thought of messing with my registry, so how do I know what to delete.

Everything that has Fallout 2 in it.

Make sure you make a backup of the registery... File>export.

Can you just plug the flash drive in and then uninstall it?

Plug flash drive in, uninstall game. I'm guessing the reason it won't uninstall is because the files are not there, so it doesn't know wtf to do. So, with the drive in, it will find the files.

I dunno what you just asked, but if it was something along the lines of installing the game to your HDD and then copying the game files to your flash drive, and then having it work in another PC, that'd be a no. Er, well, probably a no. Most games require registry files to be there to play, and if they aren't there, sometimes they are recreated...but some things are not...so try it...if it works, it works.

Well on this PC last night I installed it to my flash drive, took it out, attempted installing again and couldn't because it was already "installed". When i removed the flash drive it took away the necessary uninstall files so that I couldn't reinstall it on my hdd. Either way, I can still take it to another pc and run the exe withing the program files, then come home and play it with the flash drive. I want to be able to play without the flash drive on my system, and have it on my flash drive to take with me. Of course it wont be the same game saves and whatnot but w/e.
